Ellie's 5th Month: 10.20 -11.20

What a journey it has been from your 4 month birthday to your 5th month birthday!  We went trick-or-treating with your big brother for your 1st Halloween, camped out at the hospital during dad's thoracotomy (major lung surgery) and you got to enjoy some sweet and unexpected time with your Oma and Opa.

From birth to 5 months -- my CUTIE!

Weekly pics :)

Cuddles with Opa and Oma in daddy's hospital room <3

You are rolling both ways now!  You go girl!  You are still very much enjoying the great outdoors!  You take after your big bro in that way!  Speaking of your big brother -- he bit you this month.  For real -- two big red bite marks right now your belly!  He was honest about it and said he was sorry.  I'm sure one day you will get him back.  Just know, mommy did put him in an extra long time out for this!

These were taken back to back.  You cried but soon after Eli was giving you kisses and you were happy again!

You were really growing this month.  You are so tall and yet, such a petite little thing.  Everyone who asks your age, comments on how petite you are.  (And, EVERYONE comments on that hair of yours!  I love it and so do they!)  Mama didn't get much sleep this month but that is okay because you are worth every drop of morning coffee!

I swear you are teething but no tooth yet!  Tons of slobber though!

Beginning of the month -- all smiles!  Lee's Summit DT Boo's and Barks Parade and get this -- you fell asleep on the floor, no swaddle no rocking no sucking!  Way to go girl!

Halloween week!  Your 1st! You were the cutest little mouse!

Ellie enjoys Eli's hand-me-downs.  Eli 6 wks, Ellie 4mo
We had so much fun this week!  We went to Paradise Park and you are actually happy in the swing!

Ellie and Hundson!  (Our sweet neighbor friend!)

Daddy's surgery week!  Hanging out with brother in mommy and daddy's bed.  Go Chiefs!
Your Oma O sent you this beautiful blanket she made you!  You will treasure for years to come!

Ellie's Likes:

Being outside
Bath time with mommy and brother
Nursing -- she has got the nursing and latching thing down to a T now!
Bouncing -- will the addiction ever end?  Thank you God for yoga balls!
Baby TV and Baby Einstein DVD's
Being worn -- must face out!
Being whistled to, sung to, and talked to, blown at, sneezed at, funny faces, and roared at (future Katy Perry fan?)  :)

Chewing on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!
Toys

Watching Eli and Sammie
Watching her mobile
Baby bjorn
Looking in the mirror
Having someone blow on her tummy

Ellie's Dislikes:

Car seat -- I wonder how long this will stay on the list?!?
Losing control of an object or toy -- total freak out!!  Could the "girl" drama be already showing itself? Ha!

Ellie's 5 Month Milestones:

Sit for a while with a boppy and alone for just a few seconds (towards the end of your 5th month).
Rolling from back to front now!

Sleep:

Ugh.  Not my favorite subject.  Ellie sleeps between 30mins and 1.5hrs (tops) at a time.  It is terrible.  Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

I am convinced that life is much, much better when you are getting sleep.  Between Eli, Ellie and Sammie, I'm up on average 10x a night -- not kidding people.  10 times!  Right now I'd be happy with a 3 hours stretch.

The thought of going through the whole cry-it-out process with Ellie gives my anxiety.

Breast Feeding:

She loves to nurse like most babies.  We've continued to try to give Ellie a bottle with no success.  She wants NOTHING to do with it!  Boo hoo!  No date nights for Mike and I!  She also eats pretty frequently -- like every two hours.  I think that my breasts do not store as much milk as the "norm" (whatever that is, right?), so she feeds often to get her fill.

Eli and Ellie: A Comparison

Same age here!  Girls clothes are just so much cuter.

At this age they both:

Hate the car seat.
Love baths.
Love to chew on everything.
Terrible sleepers.
Are/were super CUTE!

They are different:

Eli could sit up (with out support) on his 5 month birthday.  Ellie still needs a lot of support.  Eli got a tooth on his 5 month birthday. Ellie is still toothless, but teething.

What I've learned...

I am a happier person when I get sleep.

I am Extremely Blessed because...

Mike is recovering on schedule and will (someday) be able to night parent with me again!  Also, if Eli has a bad night (up 3-5 times) usually Ellie has a good night and vise-versa!

Ali

Ellie's 4th Month: 9.20 - 10.20

***This was actually written on time -- I've just been wanting to add pictures for the last TWO months!  So much has changed in Ellie even since October so I will try and get the next couple of posts done ASAP!

Oh Ellie Bellie!  You and you're brother are the BEST things to have ever happened to me!  I'm so in love you both.  Everyday I fall more and more in love with you -- I don't know how it is possible because I love you so much already but it happens!  You are the cutest, sweetest and wiggliest little baby right now!  We are having a blast making you laugh and watching you smile at Sammie and Eli!  It just keeps getting better and better girl!

From birth to four months!

Weekly pictures, happy girl!

Beginning of the month: trying out the ergo (eh, not so much mom!), hiking with daddy, playing with Eli.

Fun times with Grandma!  Trampoline goodness!  Loving the Bumbo seat!

Got to meet my Opa, Uncle Jason and Uncle Adam and see my Opa O on my daddy's 30th birthday!

I love to rock 'n roll!

Beautiful blue eyes.  Still can't break the swaddle.  A little chub on the thighs (mommy loves!).

End of the month: Ellie is getting ready for Halloween -- a little mouse.  She likes to play with her toes!  Cuteness is at an all time high!

Ellie's Likes:

Being outside
Bath time with mommy and brother
Nursing -- she is starting smile while she nurses!  I love this!
Bouncing, but she doesn't "need" it as much anymore, thankfully!
Baby TV and Baby Einstein DVD's
Being worn -- must face out!
Being whistled to, sung to, and talked to, blown at, funny faces, etc

Chewing on ANYTHING she can get in her mouth but especially likes wet wash cloths
Toys

Watching Eli and Sammie some
Watching her mobile
Baby bjorn
Tummy time
Looking in the mirror
Having someone blow on her tummy

Ellie's Dislikes:
The Jumper and Play Gym just make her frustrated right now, she likes them for a few minutes but then if a toy gets away from her she FREAKS out!
Car seat, of course!

Ellie's 3 Month Milestones:
Uses hands together to bring object to mouth.
Communicating:  oohs and aahs, squeals, gurgles and laughs! She also started growl this month!  :)
Grabs both feet with both hands
Rolls from front to back often and from back to front a few times.
Stats: at 19 weeks she was 12lbs 11oz (She gains a little under 3oz a day) Skinny Minnie!
Very steady

Sleep:

HUGE regression this month! Boo hoo hoo!  For a few weeks she was literally waking every hour to every hour and a half.  It was no fun.  I was used to the 10 hours she was giving me!  It has slowly started to get better.

Breast Feeding:

She loves to nurse just like her big brother.  We have repeatedly tried to get her to take a bottle with no luck.  So, date nights are not really an option for us until a little further down the road.  She likes to attend the SLE breast feeding support group with mommy and look at all the other babies!  It was truly a Godsend when I was going through all of the troubles with Eli and now I just enjoy going to support other moms and get some time with just Ellie (my mom takes Eli for a few hours on Mondays -- thank you Mom!).

Eli and Ellie: A Comparison

Same age here!  They are looking less and less alike.

At this age they both:

Hate the car seat.
Love baths.
Love to chew on everything.
Terrible sleepers -- why?!?!

They are different:

Ellie likes the stroller -- just to be outside.  Eli did not like the stroller even if he was outside.Eli slobbered a ton.  Ellie does not.

Here is a link to Eli's 4 month post:

http://www.mikeandaliplusone.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

What I've learned...

I can't leave Ellie in a room with just Eli now.  He bites!  Oh no!  He left TWO big, red bite marks on her tummy.  So sad.  I've got pictures to show when they are older and she starts biting him!

I am Extremely Blessed because...

Even though Ellie isn't sleeping the best, she is much happier than in her first few months of life.

Summer with Eli: 21 -24 months 6.14 -9.14

This will probably be my last developmental-ish update on Eli.  Keeping up with my blog has been hard with two little ones and a hubby whose work requires long hours.  It has been a ton of fun for me (and hopefully everyone who read my posts) to look back each month of his first year and then quarterly in his second year and write about everything Eli.  He truly is the most precious boy.  Gah, how I love him.  I may decide to do bi-yearly quick updates, but, I am unsure.  Life is tough right now, although, I think we are finally coming out of "survival mode."

One year later..

I feel like the very last ounce of baby left in my sweet boy disappeared over the summer.  He is fearless.  A dare devil, just like his dad.  Gives this mama a heart attack about every day.  Love that he is a curious little guy and he definitely isn't afraid to explore and get dirty!

Watching him step into the role of big brother has been so much fun!  So much has changed in his little life the past few months and he has adjusted so well.  Makes me proud!  His patience is far beyond his years!  Ellie, as many of you know from my posts about her, was quite the crier in her first few months of life.  Eli almost instinctively knew that her needs superseded his and, almost always, allowed me to deal with her first.  He had to get used to mama bouncing on the yoga ball all day long and we quickly learned to take advantage of the time that Ellie was sleeping to play, read and cuddle.  He is such a compassionate little thing as he cries "baby, baby crying" when he hears her on the monitor, or "oh no!" or "get her."  Melts my heart each time.

End of June, not an only anymore!

All of the sudden he wanted to paci in his mouth -- at 21 months, geesh, couldn't this have happened earlier?!?!  He didn't suck on it just stuck it i there, this only lasted a few days but made me laugh.  If sis gets one, well, by golly so do I!!!  Ha!  Otherwise, Eli adjusted really well to being a big brother!  He loved to hold her right away as you can tell!  Xoxox
July...

Independence Day

Eli liked the fireworks but eventually got tired of them, bet that won't be the case next year!

Just Eli and friends!  Mama celebrated her 29th birthday this month!  Eli helped to blow out the candles!
With Lil Sis!

August...

August was HOT and fun!  I went to a Royals game with Daddy and Papa and we celebrated Papa's 59th birthday!  Lots of swimming this month because mommy could finally get in the pool again!
With Ellie Bellie <3

Oma, Oma O and Opa O came to visit this month!  I had so much fun with them!  Oma taught me how to butterfly and Eskimo kiss!
Beginning of September...

I started MDO this month and turned two on the 14th!  Mom and Dad took me to the circus!
My SECOND Birthday Party!  TRUCKS!!!

I'm having fun!

So are my friends!

The decorations mommy made!

Mommy's favorite party of my party -- Whitey's Icecream!  Grandpa and Grandma picked these up on their way home from Grandpa's 30th HS reunion!  Yummy!

Milestones:

Eli is saying well over 100 words now.  He repeats everything!! It is so sweet.  He says 3-4 word sentences.  His very first sentence was "Sammie pop bubbles."  He loves that dog!  Second sentence was "Spider hurt me." (Just so you know, the spider didn't hurt him)  My absolute favorite thing that he says is -- Love you!

He is so polite and will say please and thank you with out my asking now!

He can finish the sentences in books that we have read over and over.

He also likes to sing along to familiar songs.  He doesn't say all the words but will try!

He is learning how to use the scooter and jumps with both feet at the same time.  He can do a butt bounce and a somersault on the trampoline.

He climbed out of his bed and went poo poo in the potty for the first time the first week of August.

He is struggling with sharing.  He is shy with strangers.

We think Eli is going to be left handed because he swings left handed and eats with his left.

Around his 2nd birthday, his top two year molars began to poke through.  Ouch!

We enrolled Eli in a "Mom's Day Out" once a week for 4 hours and, although, the first 3 weeks were rough he is getting the hang of it!  He hasn't cried at drop off the last 3 times!  It is good for him and allows Ellie and I to have some one-on-one time.

Likes:
He likes TV (PBS, mostly) but would much rather be outside.

He loves, loves, loves trucks!!!

He loves his neighbors Zach, Chloe and Corbin.

He likes Thomas, Elmo, Caileou, and Clifford.

He loves to march around the house with instruments and sing the "Ants Go Marching" song.

He likes to get Sammie all riled up, poor dog.

Sleep:

His sleep is off and on but 75% of the time he makes it through the night in his own bed.  We went through a hard time right after Ellie was born and she was actually sleeping better than he was.  That was rough, we actually let him sleep with us!?!?  I will say, it was kinda nice and kinda horrible at the same time. Lord knows, when he is a teenager he better be a good sleeper to make up for all the sleepless nights he put us through!

Weaning:
Weaned!  As of 9/3 Eli has not nursed.  The first couple of weeks were hard when he fell down and asked for milk but I didn't give in and here we are two months later! He hasn't asked for mama's milk for over a month. We are all happy and I'm so glad we lasted as long as we did.  I will never ever forget some some of the sweetest moments in our nursing relationship and thank God we were able to do so.  My goal before I had even had him was to make it to 2 years, we were 11 days short!

The last three months have been one wild ride and I am so lucky that I have had this little side kick to experience it with!  Each day brings new discoveries and challenges.  He brings me so much joy!  If only he could take a peek inside my heart and could see the love I have for him!  I'm sure he knows, I tell him all the time!

Confessions from a tired mama...

Okay, time be real and get real.

I am really struggling.

I need some encouragement from my "been there, done that" mommy friends.  Any tips, tricks or advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated!

I am struggling with the constant feeling that I am not giving my kids MY best.

Why?

1.)  My energy levels are low.  I want to be the mom that can keep up with her kids.  But, lately, I feel like I am in a fog. I try not to be too hard on myself, because I know I am not getting the best sleep -- waking to feed Ellie 2-3 times a night.  But, I NEED to feel more lively. I'd like to eat better, too.   Any suggestions on how to meal plan with health in mind but still on a modest budget?  Time is a factor.  Any advice on how to kick up my energy a notch?  What have you tried that works?

2.) I am feeling down on myself, specifically my appearance.  Last pregnancy the weight literally fell off but this time it is sticking around! I'd like to be able to work out but I am having trouble fitting it in my schedule.  Any suggestions???  I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old so it makes it difficult because their sleeping times vary day to day.  Also, my husband works a ton so when he is home we try to be together as a family.  I'd like to wake up, work out and get ready before my kids wake up -- IS THIS POSSIBLE?  If you do, tell me how you make it work!

3.)  I end up cleaning when I should be spending time with my kids.  I have systems in place to stay organized but, again, I am struggling to find to time to get everything I need to done.  By the time I get the kids in bed, I am exhausted and Mike has to get back to work.  The house is a mess and I don't feel like picking it up and I usually just end up falling asleep while watching TV.  So, the next morning, instead of having a peaceful morning with my kids, I am trying to get my house clean.  It seems like a never ending cycle...  How do my mama friends keep their houses clean?

My goal is to be ready for the day before my kids wake up so that I can focus on them!  If you can help me achieve this, please don't be shy and give me some advice!!!

Thanks in advance! Xo

Ellie's Third Month: 8.20 - 9.20

What a change, what a change, what a mighty good change!

From birth to month THREE!

Weekly pics of our cutie!  5 weeks fell in month 3!  Um, I just melt when I look at the middle picture!  She is so adorable!!! And, she is ALL mine!  Love her!

The start of Ellie's third month was really, really rough.  Lots of crying.  Constant colic.  Perpetually bouncing her all day every day.  Losing our minds.  Praying for patience.  Grasping the precious, precious moments of smiles few and far between.  Hugs and kisses through it all.  And, so, so many I'm so sorry's and I love you's.  Around Ellie's 10-10.5 week mark there seemed to be some sunshine through the rain.  We were having longer happy periods; we could actually set her down with out crying and she was letting us hold her (some) with out the yoga ball to assist.  Day by day Ellie became more and more content, I'd even say cheerful.  By her 3rd month birthday it was like she was a different child!  Needless to say, we are sending praises to Jesus.  Countless prayers have been answered and I am fairly confident in saying that Ellie is now like any other baby -- cries when she is hungry and tired or bored -- and peaceful the rest of the time!  She still vehemently hates the car seat but we have made so much progress that it seems like a pebble compared to the mountain we were facing.

Can I get an amen?

2 months 1 week
Ellie met some friends this week -- Augustino and Sophia (twins).  We practiced tummy time and enjoyed the sparse happy moments.

2 months 2 weeks
Oma, Oma O and Opa O were in town this week.  They came to meet our little bundle.  We had such a great time and everyone got lots of practice on the yoga ball.  One place baby Ellie is happy is in the bath -- just like brother!

Pics of Ellie, Eli and their grandparents -- whom they call Oma and Opa (German tradition).

I just loved these pictures!  I had to share!  She has such long (straight, but dark) eye lashes!  Lucky girl!  She is such a skinny little thing too!

2 months 3 weeks
Ellie was obsessed with sticking out her tongue this week!  It was hilarious!  This week we started to see a slight turn around in the crying department.  :) :)

2 months 4 weeks
Towards the end of the month, we saw lots more smiles!!!  She started to like tummy time because she can arch her back and place her arms under her chest to hold up her head.  Proud of my babe!

Ellie's Likes:

Being outside
Bath time with mommy and brother
Nursing, of course
Bouncing
Baby TV
Being worn -- for much longer periods of time compared to last month
Being whistled to, sung to, and talked to
Play Gym

Exersaucer
Johnny Jumper
Chewing on her fists
Toys

Watching Eli and Sammie some
Watching her mobile
Baby bjorn
Tummy time

Ellie's Dislikes:

Stillness
Car seat -- HATES it! Boo hoo hoo!
Pacifier -- will take but rarely

Ergo carrier -- she does not like to face in, I hope this changes cause I really like the carrier

Ellie's 2nd Month Milestones:

Starting to notice Eli and Sammie

Stands well while being held on our laps
Bats at and grasps toys

Can bring toys and blanket to her mouth
Follows objects and voices
Stats: at 13 weeks she was 11lbs 10.5oz (She gains a little under 3oz a day) Skinny Minnie!

Hold head up completely while on stomach.

Sleep:

Very similar to last month.  Sleeps well through out the night waking once or twice and goes right back down.  She takes very irregular naps but usually goes down 1-2 hours after waking in the morning.  Sometimes she takes long naps and sometimes short.  Usually, she will take at least one long nap a day.    (Unfortunately, next month her sleep begins to regress :( :( :( ...)

Breast Feeding and Tandem Nursing:

She is nursing for longer periods of time but still short compared to other nursing moms who nurse for 20 minutes per session.  She is more like 5-7, 10 at the very most.  She nurses often though, probably every hour when she is awake.  I am no longer tandem nursing.  Eli's last time was September 3rd.  We are all doing very well and I can honestly say it is nice to just be nursing one baby.

Eli and Ellie: A Comparison

At this age they both:

have (had) hair the sticks up in back!
like(d) to face out while being held
like(d) to go from inside to outside
have (had) blue/gray eyes
take (took) prevacid for reflux

They are different

Ellie has a lot more hair and it is much darker.  Ellie was a lot chubbier but you can't tell by this picture!

What I've learned...

God doesn't give you more than you can handle.

There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Colic (frequent crying you can't stop) doesn't last forever, though when you are experiencing it -- it seems like it will never end.

I am Extremely Blessed because...

Ellie is a happy baby -- finally!

Stay tuned for an update on Eli's summer.

XOxo,

Ali

Ellie's Second Month: 7-20 - 8-20

My baby is a changin'!

A week by week look at Ellie's 2nd month!

My favorite pic of the month!  @6wks right when she started smiling! Xo baby girl!

First of all I'd like to say that whoever said that second babies are easier than the first, didn't have my baby...  I love her to the moon and back but, whoa, I wasn't expecting this!  She is more than a colicky baby, more than a reflux baby, more than a high needs baby.  She is a bounce me 24/7 baby (or I will scream kind of baby).  To say the least, Mike and I have perfected our bouncy skills.  Bounce on the yoga ball, bounce in the bouncy seat, bounce while walking, bounce the car seat, bounce, bounce, bounce... Sometimes I wish our home were a big bounce house and then both our kids would be happy!  Ha!

If you can't tell this month was a trying one! Our poor little girl is a fussy one!  She cries a lot!!!  We did see a major turn around once we got her started on Prevacid but the effects of it quickly began to diminish.  :( :( :(  Mike and I's patience has been tried and I'm proud of how quickly we have accepted the fact that this is just the way it is going to be for now. Hearing your baby cry for extended periods of time is one of the hardest things any parent of a newborn has to go through.  And, I will admit, there have been times I have wanted to scream.  But, God has given me little glimpses into the future (like when we set her down and she doesn't cry, or when she gives us little smiles, or even watching her older brother -- who was just like her -- and now is so happy).  I know that this, too, shall pass.  I know she will outgrow this fussy phase.  I know that there will be plenty of calm, happy moments to enjoy in the future so, for now, I endure.  I stay collected and love her up -- whether she is crying or content.

God love her.  So do I.

Week 5: Thank God for Yoga Balls

This week was a doozy of a week.  If it isn't one thing it is the next with Ellie's older brother Eli.  Ya know how they say breast fed babies are healthy and happy ones?  Well, in the 23.5 month I've been giving this kid milk, I'd need a third hand to count the number of times he's been sick on my fingers.  This time was really bad!  He had a high fever and hives ALL over!  Poor kid!  His sickness didn't help with my aspirations of weaning -- as I was tied down to two nurslings for the majority of my day.  Good thing Ellie doesn't mind sharing.  Baby girl did cry  A LOT this week though.  It was trying.  Poor girl.  Just can't figure it out!  Towards the end of the week I went to a neighborhood Mom's Night Out -- I told Mike I wouldn't be gone longer than an hour because I knew it would be trying.  He texted me at the hour mark and it read,  I don't know how you do this, she has been crying since you left.  Made me sad because, I had been wondering the same thing...  All I can say is, thank God for yoga balls!  Bouncing on the yoga ball seems to calm her real quick (most of the time, sometimes she is just inconsolable).   Moreover, we did get a few peaceful moments this week.  The picture where she is laying on the carpet, I remember thinking, I can't believe she is laying down on her own and not crying.  It didn't last long but is was something!  As you can see from the picture of Ellie and I, I look pretty defeated this week -- and I was.

Eli with hives all over his face... Poor kid!

6: 180°

We saw a significant difference is Ellie this week.  I think (fingers crossed) it is due to the Prevacid.  I made a doctors appointment on day 5 of giving her the ppi and, when she woke up that day she was soo happy!  I was so happy!  I felt so ridiculous for going to the appointment for an inconsolable crier who was happy the entire time!  Well, the doctor helped my embarrassment by telling me that day 5 of medicine is usually when they see the therapeutic results of Prevacid.  Finally some relief for a little girl!  Thank You Lord!

7: I Love My Aunties

My aunts (my mom's two sisters and my gma's sister) from Illinois came to see Ellie this week!  We had a great day out at my parents!  So glad to have some many family and friends who love my little girl!

The Bennett Girls!

8: Take Me Outside Pretty Please!

The weather finally started to heat up a little this week and Ellie really enjoyed being outside!  Yay!

Gpa's 59th Birthday!

Beginning of the 9th week!

Ellie's Likes:

Being outside
Bath time with mommy and brother
Nursing, of course
Bouncing
Baby TV
Being worn -- for short periods of time
Being whistled to, sung to, and talked to
Play Gym -- for a short period of time
Chewing on her fists
Toys

Ellie's Dislikes:

She isn't particularly fond of taking her meds
Stillness
Car seat -- HATES it!
Pacifier -- poor mom!

Ellie's 2nd Month Milestones:

Cooing like crazy
Stands well while being held on our laps
Bats at and grasps toys
Follows objects and voices
Stats: 10.9lbs - 40%  24 inches - 90%

Sleep:

No complaints in this category.  She can sleep 8+ hours straight!  Ah-mazing! This doesn't always happen but was frequent towards the end of the month.  She will also go down really well in the middle of the night -- doesn't have to be rocked or sucking anything.

Breast Feeding and Tandem Nursing:

She is still such a quick nursing -- 5-10 minutes TOPS!  Lucky me!  Eli is still nursing, but isn't nearly as needy as when she first came home.  1-2 X a day.  I didn't make my goal of weaning by the end of July or even 23 month but I still would like to wean in the vicinity of his 2 year birthday.  We shall see!  Prayers for no sickness!

Eli and Ellie: A Comparison

They both like(d) to be outside, chew on their fists, and watch their mobiles.  Bouncing is/was a must!  They both sport(ed) the cutest little mohawks! Oh, and unfortunately, they both hate(d) the car seat!

Ellie smiled a few weeks before Eli.  Eli was only sleeping 5 hours at his longest stretch at this point and she sleeps a little over 8.  Eli was nearly 14lbs where as Ellie is only 11lbs.  Eli wasn't fond of being changed and Ellie doesn't it mind it much!  I think Ellie is a little fussier, but not much -- or maybe I have just forgotten how bad Eli was?

What I've learned...

Even when I think I have it bad, someone has it 1,000 X worse.
To search for blessings in the midst of a storm.
Crying isn't the end of the world.
Leaving the house to run errands isn't worth it when your baby screams the whole way there and back.
A smile can melt my heart.

I am Extremely Blessed because...

I have had so much help from my mom.
Eli still loves Ellie even though she cries so much!
Mike is patient.
I'm so in love with my daughter!!!

Thanks for checking up on my baby girl!!!

XOxo,

Ali
